I'm really digging my bass players Ibanez Iceman... i really want to buy it off him and throw some decent pickups in it, but he won't part with it. Asshole, lol. The guitar has such a great feel and resonance to it, and sounds good with shitty pickups in it... so i can just imagine what it would sound like with some duncans or something similar.
my drummer has one as well. one thing I can say about that guitar is that it sounds just as good after I (not my dumb ass drummer) set it up as it did before.
as if that guitar doesn't give two shits about blackened strings wrong intonation and way to much action . it's just there to rock. my opinion about ibanez is usually

but that guitar has something different in it. it has balls.
I'm starting to crave a Rickenbacker bass. paranoids picture in the everybody thread kinda turned me on to the looks of it. mr. killmeister and mr. burton r.i.p to the sound. (and that fact that I'm in no way near having the cash to through on it kinda makes me want it more)
I don't know why but the older I get the more into bass I become, I want to get a cheap bass and try hooking it's strings up with an ac voltage (let's say about 5v-12v not more then 1 amper) corresponding to to it's output (I study electrical engineering. so it's not like I jumping too high here) and have like a real live f.m synthesis through it. might be safer doing this with a current though.
it's kinda like making a real ring modulator.
