Someday, if I ever get to get back to the work-bench, I'd like to experiment some more with the SD-1's. I'd like to see if I can make one have even more kick / more percussive than the Watt syle ones already do. (witout fucking up the drive tones.)

Actually, I'd like to build one from scratch with my mods already built in. Do it in a bigger enclosure so I can add some pots & switches, and use some different / better quality components . (Sozo caps, good carbon comp resistors, etc) .

There are a few SD1 experiments that I never got around to trying.

As far as a straight up O.D. pedal that works with several styles, the SD1 is hard to beat.

It'll be a while. I got a broe of mine I gotta get taken care of. I'm totally gutting his Marshall 1959 SLP & re-doing the whole shit & sha-bang. (board, transformers & all. It'll basically be a hot rodded JCM800 when Im done). When I get back to where I can work on stuff, I gotta get him done first. Once it's together, It'll be a week or 2 of working the bugs out & changing up small stuff to get it where I want it.

I'll be so glad when I can work on stuff again. How I long for the scent of electronic components & solder. The cussing & frustration... then listening to someone who's tickled to death with how the work comes out. I love seeing the look in the eye they get when they run thru a pedal or an amp Ive done for the first time. Thats what makes it enjoyable to me

Everyone who has any of my stuff says the same thing.

A friend who plays in Nashville alot when he's off the boat, has a BD-2 that I re-worked. He said he's had several guys wanna know what's been done to it, who done it, & what I charge

At one time, I was wanting to get a couple pedals built & send to J or whoever, and have them given to Kirk & Pep to try out. Never got around to it. Someday maybe :noclue:

I'd loan my SD-1 to Kirk or Pepper if they wanted to try it out. Hell, I'd drive it over to Nola for them :P

Bought the Ibanez BB9. I like it. Cant wait to try it in front of a "real" amp.

also picked up a Boss Power Stack pedal. (one of those "amp in a pedal" pedals) Goes from Fender Blackface, to Marshall JCM 800, to Mesa Dual Rec sounds. Cool for plugging into a clean amp, or amp with no drive. With the BB9 run after it, it sounds really cool with that turd little solid state Fender Bass 12 I have (same thing as a lead 12, but no OD . Just loud clean. The factory 10" speaker has been replaced with a Celestion g12k85)

Not the greatest set up, but will work till I get back in my house & my big boy stuff outta storage)
