Wow, cool memories Shaneo !!! :headbang:

Well, the only thing I can say, cause I only went to ONE FUCKING DOWN GIG in my whole life (for now, for now...), is that it's without a doubt one of my best live moments of all times... :headbang:

It was at Barcelona '09 Sonisphere, I sticked to the second stage the whole afternoon to see them... And man, WHAT A PERFORMANCE !!! They just blown out the whole festival, I love Metallica, MH and all these bands, but DOWN's perforamnce was surreal, cause the most human of all.

First of all, I loved to see Pepper coming for his own soundcheck, a cigarette in his mouth, a red bandana on the head, was fucking cool.
I remember one crowdsurfer being pulled out by security, they were about to kick him out but Phil told them to make him come back, he held the dude's hand tight and they sang together a bit of a song, it was awesome ! Seriously, who would do this, if not Phil ???
And what a surprise when at the end of the show, for Bury Me In Smoke, MASTODON's dudes replaced DOWN on stage to play the song (well, Phil was still holding the mic though, thanks for our ears), and Pep, Kirk and Jim were hanging around with beers :kirk: , it was a lot of fun, an awesome surprise.

What more can I say, these guys probably defines best what is a REAL LIVE ROCK SHOW. 8)

I have some very cool pics taken from the rail, and a fucking cool vid of Mastodon's moment, I'll post them later :P

Talking to Jimmy for my radio show during 20 minutes about Over the under, Lynyrd... And meeting Rex backstage who took the time to sign my cd's.
And when I heard the beginning of "Nothing in return" during the show the band did in Collegno in 2009.

:!: :!: :!:

May 27 '06. After the first set of songs the band left the stage without a problem.Phil on the other hand decided to leave via the backdrop behind Jimmy's kit.He pawed all the way to right looking for the gap in the curtain with no luck. All the way back to the left and still couldn't get thru. When he started makin his way back to the centre,a roadie ran over and showed him where the gap was.

It was comical. we all cracked up. :P

The last down show I was at was my Birthday in 2008 up in Detroit

Down kicked ass as always. Rocked out with Vu, her boyfriend, and her friend. Ran into Metal Mumma who was I think 3-4 sheets in the win d by that point :P

After the show Kirk came out and hung out with all of us loonies still in the parking lot drinking in downtown Detroit.

Good Times :P :kirk:

Kirk "kiss of doom" on both cheeks (as well as on my boyfriend's :kirk:) at the venue's bar when I went to congrat him after Kristonfest gig, then Pat warm hug and the cool chatter that followed.

Total fangirl post here. :P

Pepper & me after the 'C.O.C. - In the Arms of God' show in Salt Lake City, Utah.
July 15, 2005. Was a great show and the band did a meet & greet with everyone after the show.

Fake spam by a jilted ex-member is the pathetic evidence of an inability to move on.

On the first leg of the down ll tour some friends and I made the two hour trip north to grand rapids Michigan to see down @ the orbit room.As we were getting in the door there was a mom there looking for her teenage daughter who had sneaked off to see down.As the movie down was playing before they took the stage I saw that mother lurking in the crowd sure as shit she found that daughter. The mom was pissed as she drug her daughter out of the show.We all just laughed it was also peppers birthday that night. 8)
