So, the Southport Hall web site has two Down shows for 10/29 and 10/30 on sale, listed on their site, but nothing at down-nola.com and no chatter about those shows on these boards. Anyone know whats up?? I'd like to buy tickets, but I remember a few years ago, when Southport jumped the gun on announcing the shows, and they actually moved the venue.

I've heard rumblings on the street that this was happening and I made a post about it in another tour thread on here.

Man, such a hard decision on which of the shows to attend. I would love to go to both, but don't know if I want to get a hotel for the weekend. If someone wants to donate money I would gladly accept!
Anyone been to the Southport music hall? How is the setup? Any weird fees once you get to the door. Damn, soul kitchen!

You have to go to EHG, it's an experience you can't miss. Ask Kerry. She didn't really care for them but had a great time at their show. If you want to save money we can bring our own alcohol. It'll probably only be $10 or $15 to get in.

This is a really crappy cell pic but it's all I had available. Brann Dailor and Troy Sanders joined Down for BMIS. Troy's in the plaid shirt playing Pat's bass and Kate's in front of him with Kirk's guitar. I've seen Kate get up there many times on bass but she was really going to town on Kirk's guitar. The guy to the right of Kirk was in a wheelchair watching the show between the stage and the barricade and Scott helped stand him up and Kirk lifted him onto the stage where he balanced himself on what looked like a couple of ski poles. I wish I could had snagged a pic of Kirk pouring beer in his mouth but it happened too fast.

Nothing new. Setlist was most of NOLA and nothing else (as far as I remember.) They didn't play Jail, Pray for the Locust or Swan Song but I think they played everything else from NOLA in album order.

Looks like you were pretty close behind me. Yeah, Kirk was determined to get that guy onto and off the stage safely. His compassion really shined through there.

Jimmy did start up a drum riff that reminded me a lot of "The Seed" before Phil cut him off by saying "Don't give anything away". Does anyone know what they played at the Sunday show? Any new stuff?

I've heard that a new song was played last night. My comment about it on Facebook was "Eff them in their effin cornholes for not playing it both nights. Corksuckers I tell ya." Hopefully everyone reading it can seed the humor in that and if not then then eff them in their cornholes too. :P

Man, sounds like Sunday was the one to see. I hope we can at least see the new song on Youtube soon.
