I haven't been listening to Clutch as much lately. For my regular spin, it's been a ton of Mastodon, especially Leviathan. I threw up a post a while back that I'm old and washed up when it comes to new music so I'm trying to re-invent my wheel.

Although I finally got the new stereo put in my car the other day and I split my skull open with Live In Flint this morning. :!: That album is kind of my tuning fork. I know exactly how I want my bass, treble, etc. based on how that one album sounds. :P

I just saw that Clutch is playing 10 minutes away from me in June. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Good recording of a new song that's been showing up on their sets: "British Intel". Recorded from Headliner's in Toledo, OH on 4-22-12 by a poster on their board.

http://soundcloud.com/siberiankissrecor ... 11-british

Here's the new song titles that have made the rounds at recent shows:
Newt Gingrich
Pigtown Blues
Puerta Abierta
Night Hag
Superior Velocity
Cyborg Betty
British Intelligence

Who's actually been headlining the tour? I know it says co-headlining but that doesn't tell me anything. They're comin through next week but the Melvins are in town the night before, think I'll just stick with that. I dont see the Clutch crowd stickin around to see HellYeah.

Chris, it seems like they're rotating headlining spots kinda like how Mastodon and Opeth are on their current tour.

LaRandy, thanks for the link. The song sounds great. I saw them play Newt Gingrich and PigTown Blues when I saw them with COC last summer.

Out of all the reviews I've looked at on Clutch's board, I haven't seen one that had Clutch going on second. All have said HellYeah went on last. Most people have left after a song or two. I'm not saying this is official, I'm just saying I haven't seen anyone say Clutch went on last yet.

It's cliched, cookie cutter crap. If I want that, there's plenty of bands who do it better.

It's ironic there's a guy in Hellyeah that stamped his name on an album titled "The Great Southern Trendkill."

Does that make Hellyeah hipster music?

I was being sarcastic.

And I dislike them for that same reason. Anyone remember that picture where it took Hellyeah's group photo and put the PanterA logo in front of it?
