Did Opeth go on first? :?

BTW what'd you think of Opeth and Ghost? I don't think I've seen you say anything about either band.

We caught just the tail end of Ghost and were outside the bulk of the time while my buddy smoked. I can't offer much of an opinion.

I popped my head in a few times during Opeth. They were alright. Nice sound I suppose. Truthfully, I think I like them as a studio band more than as a live band. I dig a lot of their slow stuff.

Not a fan of Lacuna Coil, but damn Cristina Scabbia looks hotter without makeup.

Adrenaline Mob & Kill Devil Hill...was great seeing Rex playing again, and watching Appice & Portnoy on drums didn't suck either...both bands jammed together after Adrenaline Mob's set on Zeppelin & Sabbath :!:

Went and saw Meshuggah w/ Baroness and Decapitated at the House of Blues in Chicago and it was amazing. The show started earlier than the posted time. We got there around 6 and Decapitated was on their last song, and then Baroness came on and had a short, but great set. They played 2 new songs off Yellow and Green called March to the Sea and Take My Bones Away, both sounded killer live. They also had a new version of Steel That Sleeps The Eye that they played. Hopefully they record it. It has a completely different sound/feel to it, but I like both the original and the new one. They got a new bassist as well. Meshuggah came on and they had a sweet set. They played a lot off Koloss and most of their more recent material. Their drummer Tomas Haake is a beast.

Saw Van Halen. I thought it was great. In a way, it was like the last time I saw Kiss. You're thinking you are going to see this band and spectacle but when the show starts... it becomes the Paul Stanley show. And it was great. Same thing happened at Van Halen... it was the David Lee Roth show and it was awesome. The band played great and all and Eddie's guitar solo was all magical and shit.... but Dave just took over. Damn... they should also get Michael Anthony back. Wolfgang was ok I guess. Michael Anthony would have been better.

^Did you catch Black Tusk too? I was gonna go to that show, but all my friends were broke and I wasn't gonna go to reggie's alone because I hear it's in a shady area.

I can't even begin to tell how much I hate them
But then again, they come from my city and seeing them rise to fame cause they've got a chick, and tons of fantastic band strive to even find gigs might be the cause for my feelings...
