Venus transit from June and partial solar eclipse from November.

I remember that day. I stepped outside and something felt odd, like the sky was a different blue than usual. I didn't find out why until the end of the day.

It was only partial down here but it still got a bit more shadowy than usual. Those were taken from the back yard well after maximum cover. The maximum was around 55% here. Far north Queensland had totality. The cloud cover down here that morning made it impossible to photograph at maximum.

Holconia insignis (pic 1) and holconia immanis (pic 2). Both huntsman spider species. The insignis was on my back door and immanis was in my loungeroom. Insignis is still wandering around in the house somewhere but immanis is long gone.

How is Insignis faring? Are you keepinh her as live pesticide?

Insignis is a boy (note the bulbs on his palps, immanis was a girl - no bulbs). And yes, he has free reign of the house and is right now in the lounge peacefully curled up on the wall over the tele.
