Yes. Cowboys From Hell.guitar players always choose this one.

I know the odd rhythm riff here and there..(title track,Psycho Holiday, Heresy,Cemetery Gates)

as for solos.. forget it.i'm not even close.

I'm a massive Pantera fan to this day because of Trendkill and Far Beyond Driven. Really love RTS, too, but I could take or leave CFH and Vulgar.

Mine will always be far beyond driven. It brings back alot of memories. I was 9 when it came out, but my older brothers had all their albums. I used to go through my brothers rooms and listen to all their music. I remember this album the most, because I instantly thought it was intense, and amazing. I got the crow soundtrack around this time, and listened to the badge cover(loved it). This whole period brings back a lot of great memories growing up listening to pantera and them becoming one of my favorite bands. The great southern trendkill is right behind it as my favorite too. I dont care what anyone says but their terry glaze era was great too!

1. FBD
2. TGSTK
3. CFH
4. RTS
5.Power Metal
6. Vulgar display of power

I am the only one who voted for Reinventing The Steel because to me it has the perfect Pantera sound, which Phil Anselmo even admitted himself. A very very close second is The Great Southern Trendkill, but honestly the last two Pantera albums are by far the best.

Trendkill
FBD
Vulgar
RTS
Cowboys

It's really not that many years ago I would have said FBD, Vulgar, Trendkill, Cowboys, RTS. I'd even venture to say RTS might be caught up with Vulgar at this point for me. I don't know if Trendkill will ever drop from my #1 spot now.

Trendkill is the perfect Pantera album. From top to bottom their best album. Dime's guitar work on that album was his best IMO. Will always be my #1 as well.

Y'know that album where Pantera is playing their instruments? That one. I REALLY like that one.

Trendkill is not only my favorite Pantera album, it's among my favorite albums of all time. It's also an album I have to listen to as a whole, I never just play a song or two out of order. It has a flow, it's a bit of a theme album. It's got the most vicious, heavy songs, with some truly intense lyrics, but also the best soft songs they ever put out. It seems like Pantera fans usually fall into one of two loose camps; those that prefer the earlier albums and Phil's more melodic style, and those that like the later material with Phil's rougher vocal approach. I'm in the latter. Of the list provided I'd rank them:

1: The Great Southern Trendkill
2: Reinventing the Steel
3: Far Beyond Driven
4: Vulgar Display of Power
5: Cowboys From Hell

I would have included the live album in the vote. I like the live version of every song on that album better than the studio version with the exception of Suicide Note pt. II, and the two studio songs at the end are excellent. I'd rank 101 Proof # 2 above RTS.

Trendkill has no weak spots... it's all killer, no filler. Just has a flow to it that makes me listen from start to finish.

1. TGST
2. FBD
3. VDOP
4. RTS
5. CFH

this.
and the poll results are just as expected from the down board. more into the harsh sound less into the catchy choruses and fancy shmancy guitar work. in large I agree with said results.
